Hans-Dietrich Genscher in Wernigerodethe 4th Tuesday in July 2009 On a Tuesday In the year 1427 the "Spelhus" (- this is Low German / new german: Spielhaus / english: game house) of Wernigerode was given as a present from the count to the city council and citizens. This was the reason for celebrating the 12. "Wernigeröder vasten-colleg". Hans-Dietrich Genscher was holding a official speech to the topic "20 Jahre Mauerfall" (20 years of wall fall - it is meaned the wall between the west and east part of germany). For this speech he was unsing a note with only 4 words. I think it is great if someone holds a speech only with the help of 4 keywords. I have talked to some persons over the speech. The chairmen of the city council and the mayor of Werngierode and some other persons told me that they where delighted about the speech. My father told me that for the age of Genscher it is a good performance - obviously his brain is doing well despite of the age. Most people can hold a speech with 4 words on peace of paper when they are young. Some hours later luckily I could short talk to Mr. Genscher and wish him a good evening. photos:
